Discussion of Old Business Agenda Items

  • Preliminary Results of recent Quality Review - 10 categories with 3 item scoring system (developing, proficient, well developed) PS 11 received a “proficient” in 5 areas and “well-developed” in the remaining 5. The administration is challenging the review in regards to Indicator 1.2 Leveraging Resources which is predominantly driven by teachers reporting of their instructional needs. It also encompasses how the students learning environment is enriched. Thus additional supporting evidence has been submitted to support that PS 11 is “well developed” as it relates to this indicator This would result in a 6 well developed to 4 proficient rating

  • P.S. 11 has received an Honorable Mention Award for the 2019 NYC Excellence in School Wellness Award (ESWA) presented by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Award ceremony Wednesday June 12th, 2019 details to follow
